Are Bomb Shelters a Hot Spot in the Real Estate Market

With news of wars and bombings plaguing the papers and the internet everyday, getting your own bomb shelter is becoming more and more a reasonable idea.  The question is, is the price reasonable enough?

Although World War I and World War II had long been over, bomb shelters are in style again.  No longer are they the thing of the weird and the paranoid.  Some say it’s just practical for it might come in handy anytime.  It also gives some sort of feeling of security, considering the changing times, plus the fact that Iran and North Korea are having functioning nuclear warheads.

In California, bomb shelters actually having good sales right now.  At around $400,000, it’s really a huge sum to pay for an uncertain future; wars just break out without a warning.  Unnamed local governments are buying all of them now fast, but not as fast as these shelters can be made.  McArthy even said that they cannot make enough.

An example is the $320,000 worth CAT25, Radius’ most popular model, said to house up to 25 people for five months.  It is built with filtration systems built to handle nuclear, biological and chemical events, and has about 8 feet of head room.
