Getting a real estate agent is important when you want to sell your house. They can get the best deals for you and you do not need to work that much. But if you’re an interested buyer, there are a few things that the seller’s agent will not tell you. The primary goal of an agent when selling a property is to sell the home for the owner while looking out for the owners’ best interests not the buyer’s interest.
Here are a few things that the agent will not tell you if you’re a prospective buyer:
1. The agent will not tell you the reason why the owner is selling the property unless the owner specifically releases that information.
2. Any concessions the seller might be willing to take
3. The conversations between the seller and agent
4. Any information that could give the buyer an advantage
5. The agent will not reveal if the house is overpriced even if they know the house is overpriced
As a buyer, you should also be careful with any information you reveal with the sellers agent. Hire your own agent that will represent you when seeing a house for sale.
